Roberto Mancini wants to bring
Daniel Sturridge back to
Manchester City. As the Italian is potentially selling all of his strike force except
Sergio Aguero, the
Chelsea forward would cost £20 million to secure a return to the Etihad.
City are also monitoring Le Havre’s teenage midfielder Jules Ntcham, dubbed the new Marcel Desailly. Arsenal and Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are scouting the 16-year-old as well. The Gunners meanwhile could move for Lazio’s Brazilian playmaker Hernanes, 26.
Manchester United could be about to buy Costa Rican left back Bryan Oviedo from FC Copenhagen. Sir Alex Ferguson sees the 22-year-old as ideal cover for Patrice Evra at Old Trafford with speculation mounting that Fabio da Silva will be loaned out next term.
Alan Pardew has made an enquiry over the availability of Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Iceland international midfielder, 22, is currently on loan at Swansea from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim. The Welsh side will struggle to sign him permanently as Newcastle United can offer Sigurdsson Europa League football next season.
West Bromwich Albion will sell forward Simon Cox, but only if a club meets their £3 million valuation of the Republic Of Ireland international. Playoff hopefuls Cardiff City seems to be his most likely destination, but Ipswich are also interested in the 24-year-old.
Finally, Aston Villa are set to miss out on Eredivisie top scorer Bas Dost, 22, as he has entered talks with Wolfsburg over a move to Germany. Current club Heerenveen are set to cash in on their star striker this summer.
